Job Summary:
The Workers Compensation Adjuster will analyze new and existing claims to determine benefits due in accordance with Hawaii law, conduct investigations, address all pertinent issues, and attend hearings on all islands.
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Determining eligibility for benefits
- Conduct investigations and assessments
- Determining and administering benefits on behalf of the employer/Carriers in accordance with the Hawaii Workers’ Compensation Laws
- Provide status Reports and File reserve recommendations to the Clients
- Present files at Claims Reviews
- Manage litigation process; ensure timely and cost-effective claims resolution
- Respond timely to e-mail, phone calls and client requests
- Comply with client and internal special handling instructions

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling workers comp claims
- Excellent client servicing skills

- Ability to work well with internal/external customers

- Familiar with Hawaii statutes and regulations
- Experience taking recorded interviews
- WC Adjuster’s license preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to type
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, with flexible work shift within the Company flex schedules, and as approved by department manager.
Travel
Inter-island travel for hearings occasionally
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling workers comp claims
