About the Role

Description

Our Drivers are key employees for the organization who deliver our product to our customers safely, in full and on time. As a face to our customers, our Drivers are an example of the values of the organization. The most important role for our Drivers is safety; nothing comes before safety.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive local distances to deliver and pick-up goods to and from construction sites.
  • Drive forklifts to unload building materials.
  • Hand load, unload, stack and stage products.
  • Record keeping of activities, cargo deliveries and hour logging.
  • Complete the driver vehicle inspection report and inform management of mechanical issues.
  • Keep the truck clean and presentable.
  • Report road incidents to management and follow accident procedures.
  • Follow DOT, state and local traffic laws.
  • Plan routes using GPS system and arrive on time.
  • Deliver superior customer service and inform management of customer concerns.
  • Other reasonable directives, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.


Requirements

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current CDL Class A driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 5 years of driving experience. 
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test.
  • Must have a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Ability to pass all applicable health benchmarks and provide a medical certificate, unless exempted.

  • Strong attention to detail with a distraction-free driving style.
  • Comprehensive understanding of logistics systems.
  • Personable demeanor with a focus on providing excellent customer service.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Frequently lift 100 pounds up to a height of 5 feet with assistance.
  • Frequently carry 100 pounds over a distance of at least 12 feet with assistance.
  • Occasionally push 100 pounds in a wheeled cart.
  • Bend, stoop or squat to floor level on a repetitive basis.
  • Reach overhead to grasp materials.
  • Climb ladders.
  • Hand-eye coordination to operate powered and non-powered equipment.
  • Work outside in temperatures ranging from extreme heat to extreme cold.
