About the Role

About the Role:

The Expo plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the dining or event service environment by acting as the central communication hub between the kitchen and the front-of-house staff. This position is responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate delivery of food orders, maintaining quality control, and managing the flow of dishes to guests. The Expo ensures that each plate meets the establishment's standards before it reaches the customer, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience. Additionally, the role involves collaborating closely with chefs, servers, and management to address any issues promptly and maintain a seamless service. Ultimately, the Expo contributes significantly to operational excellence and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced hospitality setting across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably in a food service or expo role.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between kitchen and service staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a high-volume or fine dining establishment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
  • Certification in food handling or safety (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a hospitality setting.
  • Bilingual abilities to support diverse team and customer interactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the timely delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area.
  • Inspect each dish for presentation, accuracy, and quality before it leaves the kitchen.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Prioritize and organize orders during peak service times to maintain efficiency.
  • Assist in resolving any order discrepancies or customer concerns related to food service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo station and surrounding areas.
  • Support training and onboarding of new front-of-house or kitchen staff as needed.
