About the Role
A school receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff, providing administrative support and ensuring a welcoming, efficient school environment.Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Management: Greet students, parents, and visitors, answer inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate staff or department
- Communication: Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring timely and professional responses
- Administrative Support: Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, photocopying, report generation, database management, and scheduling appointments
- Student Assistance: Support students with basic tasks, assist teachers with supervision, and provide first aid or general health services as needed
- Coordination: Liaise with staff, parents, and external organizations, including government or media agencies, to facilitate smooth school operations
Professional in appearance Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to dal confidently with parents, students and senior level management Excellent time management skills and meticulous attention to detail Able to maintain confidentiality Demonstrates energy, enthusiasm and has a good sense of humor Able to work collaboratively and under pressure to meet deadlines Able to act as an ambassador for the school in all dealings with prospective parents and the general public
