About the job:

Based in Brunssum, The Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSSC, which provides effective static and deployable Information Communications Technology (ICT) system repair and maintenance as well as ICT Hardware Asset Management (AM) services in support of NATO operations, exercises and training. As the Central Warehouse for ICT Hardware within NATO, CSSC is responsible for the supply activities associated with stock management, procurement, delivery, receipt and through life management of all ICT hardware items. CSSC personnel are located within the central hub in Brunssum as well as the three Forward Support Points at Bydgoszcz, Grazzanise and Wesel.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Electromagnetic Environmental Effect (E3) Chief Technician who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

•    Organize, lead, plan, direct, control and coordinate all work regarding the Shielding Effectiveness testing of deployable, static and maritime CIS, as well as enclosed infrastructures (communication sites, bunkers and other special designation facilities) related to the E3 protection program.
•    Ensure coordinated planning and scheduling through the development and upkeep of a robust planning and scheduling framework that aligns with organizational goals, optimizes resource utilization, and delivers on-time, high-quality outputs.
•    Provide leadership and talent development by building a high-performance team through effective delegation, coaching, and succession planning to enable junior technicians to grow into higher responsibility roles
•    Create an enabling environment that standardizes best practices, and continuously improves processes for efficiency and quality. Also monitors the KPIs of the E3 service, ensuring they remain within availability and performance targets and proposes changes for either the KPIs themselves or measurement and reporting methodology so as to ensure relevance, accuracy and alignment with NCIA leadership goals on customer support excellence.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

•    Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 4 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 6 years post-related experience.
•    At least 2 years practical experience of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) or E3 field or relevant discipline.
•    Knowledge of EMC theory
•    Good knowledge of electromagnetic pulse and lightning protection, antenna and wave propagation, electrical distribution and safety measures.
•    Fluency in English, both written and spoken
