Summary

 

Brandywine Realty Trust is seeking a part-time Parking Attendant for our new, state-of-the art, automated parking facility located in Center City Philadelphia. This person plays a vital role in the successful rollout of this automated parking system, including basic trouble shooting. This is a customer-facing role, so our ideal candidate will have strong people skills and enjoy interacting with others. The shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 7AM - 7PM. 

 

Responsibilities


Responsibilities for this role include, but may not be limited to:

  • Provide superior customer service, including assisting customers in the successful use of the automated parking system.
  • Control traffic at the entrance and exits at all times.
  • Interact with the automated parking system manufacturer, service, and sales representatives.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting on the system, as needed, reporting results to the automated parking system manufacturer and Parking Manager.
  • Walk the location to observe physical condition and appearance, and volume of business.
  • Maintain general maintenance of the garage – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc. 
  • Perform daily audits of the parking garage.
  • Report any and all claims or injuries that occur and assist the Parking Manager in completing a written incident report, if needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Competencies

 

Language Skills

  • Read and interpret English language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Communicate both written and orally with customers, co-workers, and the Parking Manager.

Computer Skills

  • Troubleshoot basic issues with the automated parking system.
  • Utilize basic PC-based business software, including Microsoft products for word processing and email.
  • Utilize the software on site that specifically handles the automated parking garage functionality.

 

Reasoning Ability

  • Apply sound judgment in conducting instructions, which come in either written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Apply technical training received on-the-job or in formal class settings to day-to-day activities.

 

Interpersonal Abilities

  • Exhibit excellent customer-service skills.
  • Display follow-through in conducting directions from management.
  • Demonstrate teamwork skills in relations with co-workers.
  • Proven customer support experience.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
