Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer.
- Provide L1/L2 application support for business-critical banking applications in a 24/7 environment.
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, ensuring high availability and service quality.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service requests, and production issues within agreed SLAs.
- Support production deployments, releases, and change management activities.
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution activities.
- Collaborate with global technology, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, resilience, and reliability.
- Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and operational standards.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support, Site Reliability Engineering, or Software Engineering.
- Strong expertise in Linux environments, including CLI administration and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
- Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or Concourse.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools, including Ansible and Terraform.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud.
- Experience designing, deploying, and automating scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience supporting mission-critical applications within financial services or banking environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on service reliability and operational excellence.
- Fluent English communication skills.
