About the Role
The Manager of Yoga and Fitness will support the yoga and fitness experience at the Bouldering Project Fremont location. This part-time role helps shape class programming, assists in instructor coordination, and ensures high-quality, community-aligned offerings. In collaboration with the General Manager and the National Manager of Yoga & Fitness, the manager contributes to movement programming that aligns with our mission and community values.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the design and coordination of weekly class schedules
  • Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and supporting instructors
  • Coordinate sub coverage and manage class logistics
  • Track class attendance and gather member feedback
  • Monitor and support instructor development through feedback and coaching
  • Ensure studio readiness and address member experience concerns
  • Collaborate on local programming aligned with national standards
  • Represent Bouldering Project culture and values in all interactions

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Programming Team
  • Partner with national leadership to support seasonal events and initiatives
  • Support community events, cross-department programming, and brand-aligned campaigns

Requirements

What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications

  • 1–2 years experience in yoga or group fitness environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Availability during evenings/weekends as needed 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Yoga or fitness teaching certification
  • Experience coordinating programming or studio operations
  • Familiarity with community-based or mission-driven organizations
  • Experience supporting or mentoring instructors
  • In addition to management hours, an ability to instruct 1-2 classes/week

This role may require a flexible schedule, including availability during evenings, weekends, or outside standard business hours, depending on programming and business needs.

Compensation & Benefits
This is a part-time, in gym, hourly position at roughly 20 hours/week. Compensation is based on experience and local market benchmarks.  Compensation will be different for the admin portion of role the versus instructor pay.  Perks include:
