What is the position? HUD Program Coordinator
Full-time or part-time? Full-time (40 hrs./wk.), generally Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, occasional evening and weekend work required
What’s the pay? $52,627.63-$62,498.09, depending on experience

What’s the position all about?
As the HUD Program Coordinator, you'll help ensure Our Just Future's HUD-funded housing programs operate smoothly, remain compliant, and provide high-quality, participant-centered services. You'll partner closely with the Community Programs Manager to support staff, strengthen program operations, monitor compliance, and promote best practices rooted in Assertive Engagement and Trauma-Informed Care.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and improving systems while staying connected to the people we serve. You'll supervise a small team, serve as a resource on HUD regulations and program requirements, coordinate training, monitor program quality, and help staff navigate complex participant situations. You'll also provide direct participant support when needed and represent Our Just Future in the community.

What will I be expected to do?
- Supervise, coach, mentor, and support a team of up to three Family Advocates, interns, temporary employees, or volunteers.
- Help recruit, interview, onboard, train, and develop staff while fostering a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based team culture.
- Ensure HUD-funded housing programs operate in compliance with funding requirements, agency policies, and program standards.
- Serve as a resource for staff by providing guidance on HUD regulations, Coordinated Access, housing placement, Assertive Engagement, and Trauma-Informed Care.
- Conduct file reviews, monitor documentation, support data quality, and collaborate with the Quality Assurance & Analysis team to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Track client assistance and rental assistance spending while supporting program monitoring and continuous improvement efforts.
- Partner with the Community Programs Manager to strengthen program operations, support staff success, facilitate HUD meetings, and provide operational leadership during periods of supervisor absence.
- Build relationships with housing providers, behavioral health agencies, funders, Coordinated Access partners, and other community organizations to improve participant access to housing and supportive services.
- Provide case management, housing search and placement, crisis intervention, and resource coordination when program capacity requires.
- Represent Our Just Future at Continuum of Care meetings, Coordinated Access meetings, HUD trainings, conferences, and community partnerships.
What can I bring to the table?
We recognize that people gain skills through many different paths. Candidates who meet most of the qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- At least one year as a lead or two years direct service for a HUD RRH or PSH Housing Program.
- Two years or more providing case management.
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field preferred but not required.
- Experience with crisis intervention, community networking and resource development.
- Knowledge of HUD regulations, Coordinated Access, housing navigation, and participant-centered service delivery.
- Experience delivering services using Assertive Engagement techniques (strength-based services, motivational interviewing, assertive outreach).
- General computer and word processing skills (Microsoft Suite) and willingness to learn other computer/data entry skills.
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
