Laster

Description
Position summary
Pull the upper over the last and set the shape of the boot to the master sample.
Essential functions
- Mount the insole and the last. Align the upper to the last centerline.
- Operate pulling-over, toe lasting, side lasting and heel seat lasting machines.
- Set tension, wipe and heat so the upper conforms without wrinkling, over-stretching or tearing.
- Inspect every lasted pair against its mate. A boot is only correct as a pair.
- Pull lasts after set and return them to inventory in size order.
- Report machine drift immediately. A lasting machine out of adjustment ruins a lot, not a pair.
