About the Role

Why This Role Matters

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while creating a welcoming and engaging guest experience. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth bar operations, ensuring compliance with alcohol service laws, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant.


What You'll Do

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and guest preferences
  • Provide excellent guest service by fostering a friendly, professional, and welcoming atmosphere
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar and surrounding areas
  • Follow all state, local, and company guidelines for responsible alcohol service and guest safety
  • Restock, rotate, and maintain bar inventory, ensuring accuracy and freshness of products
  • Handle cash, credit card, and POS transactions accurately and responsibly
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and side work
  • Support team members in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table

  • Previous experience as a bartender or in a related role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of mixology, drink recipes, and bar equipment
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Washington State MAST (Mixologist/Alcohol Server Training) Permit required prior to first day of work
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and reach throughout the shift
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Work performed in a bar and restaurant environment with exposure to alcohol, cleaning chemicals, hot/cold surfaces, and moderate noise levels
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including non-slip footwear, is required
