About the Role

Description

SUMMARY

Set-up, adjust and operate conventional and/or CNC machines to fabricate required parts by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL  DUTIES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES  include the following. Other duties as assigned.

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or other provided information to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements.

Prepare the correct material for machining.

Select the most appropriate tools for the assigned tasks.

Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit program.

Run your first piece and make adjustments as needed. Make sure part meets print.

Be able to successfully navigate within TSE ERP system and correctly enter data as  required.

SAFETY TRAINING To perform this job successfully, an individual must complete and maintain the following Safety Training requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Certificate from a college or technical school; or three to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform machinist’s math. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands, fingers, and arms.
