About the Role

Description

The CNC Programmer is responsible for creating, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for machining operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality components.

  

· Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks) and CAM (Mastercam 2026) for CNC programming.

· Generate and maintain CNC programs utilizing Mastercam 2026.

· Verify new CNC programs prior to release to the shop floor.

· Provide daily operator support on HAAS machines in the form of CNC programming and troubleshooting on the production floor.

· Support and optimize automation systems, including Universal Robots (UR).

Manage and maintain tooling dispensing machines to support efficient production.

· Develop and maintain production fixtures.

· Collaborate with cross-functional engineering departments to support NPI, resolve manufacturing challenges and enhance safety, quality and cost.

· Monitor and improve CNC cycle times and machine utilization.


Physical Requirements of the job include:

· Frequent standing and walking in a manufacturing environment. 

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. 

· Ability to use computers, machine interfaces, measuring equipment, and hand tools. 

· Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear, and other required protective equipment. 

· Exposure to a manufacturing environment including noise, machine operation, metal chips, lubricants, and coolants.

Requirements

  •  Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. 
  • Proficiency with CAM software, preferably Mastercam. 
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters. 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. 
  • Experience troubleshooting machining and programming issues. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Ability to work directly with operators and production personnel to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write English sufficiently to perform the essential functions of the position.

  

Previous experience required is 3-5 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing or machining environment. In addition, it would be beneficial if candidates also have the following:

  • Experience programming HAAS CNC machine controls.
  • Experience with vertical milling operations.
  • Experience with Universal Robots (UR) and manufacturing automation.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with tooling management systems and tooling dispensers.
