Are you passionate about shaping young minds and making a meaningful impact? We're seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of program coordinators, empowering young mentors through educational leadership and service.
As an APEC After School Site Coordinator, you will provide direct support for your site and manage day-to-day operations. They ensure that daily operations run smoothly and address any immediate issues that arise. Additionally, they maintain a safe and productive environment for both staff and students. Their role is pivotal in implementing program activities and procedures at the ground level.
Program Coordinator Full-Time, Exempt
Program Management (Assist)
- Oversee the daily operations of an assigned afterschool program site.
- Plan and implement engaging academic, enrichment, and youth development activities.
- Monitor student enrollment, attendance, average daily attendance (ADA), and overall program quality.
- Ensure compliance with Bright from the Start (BFTS), DECAL, CACFP, 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant requirements, and APEC policies.
- Manage site inventory, purchasing, and required program documentation.
- Coordinate special events, field trips, and family engagement activities
- Respond promptly to operational concerns while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
Human Resource Management (Prepare):
- Recruits, interviews, trains, supervises, and evaluates program staff.
- Oversees staff schedules, timekeeping, and daily staffing assignments.
- Delegates responsibilities to ensure efficient site operations.
- Conducts employee coaching, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Implements employee accountability and disciplinary procedures in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Maintains Georgia PDS records and staff compliance with required certifications and training.
- Promotes teamwork, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture.
- Models professional behavior and effective communication with students, families, staff, and school personnel.
Site Leadership (Establish)
- Champion APEC's mission, values, and program standards.
- Monitor student engagement, program quality, and site performance.
- Maintain accurate reports, documentation, and required records.
- Capture program highlights through photos, videos, and student success stories.
- Support fundraising, staff appreciation, and organizational initiatives.
- Participate in leadership meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
- Promote an inclusive environment where every student and family feels welcomed and supported.
Relationship Development (Care):
- Develops strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, PTA, PAC organizations, and community partners.
- Serves as the primary contact for families at the assigned program site.
- Communicates regularly with families regarding student progress, attendance, and program updates.
- Supports student recruitment, retention, and family engagement initiatives.
- Monitors school calendars, events, and school initiatives to ensure program alignment.
- Builds partnerships with community organizations to enhance programming.
- Supports the recruitment, supervision, and development of High School Helpers and volunteers.
- Seeks opportunities for continuous professional growth and leadership development.

Schedule
This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. while school is in session. Availability for some Saturdays, school breaks, and planning days is required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Health and Safety / First Aid CPR certification is required (Onsite training options are available)
- Must pass a background check and complete any required training.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to a consistent schedule.
- Previous experience working with children/elementary education is preferred but not required.
- Higher education credentialing (Bachelors/Masters Degree, Child Development Associate (CDA), TCC) is a plus!
