Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine.
  • Eligibility for or current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Maryland.
  • Commitment to practicing high-quality, evidence-based veterinary medicine.
  • Strong clinical judgment and dedication to lifelong learning.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate openly, honestly, professionally, and empathetically with clients and colleagues.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with humility, respect, and accountability.
  • Personal integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to doing the right thing—even when no one is watching.
  • A genuine desire to provide the highest standard of compassionate care for patients and exceptional service to their owners.

Preferred

  • Interest in small-animal, large-animal, or mixed-animal practice.
  • Surgical and medical experience appropriate to your interests and level of experience.
  • Enthusiasm for continuing education and professional growth.
