OPPORTUNITY
The Development Coordinator plays an integral, multifaceted role in supporting the operational, administrative, and grant-funded initiatives of 10,000 Degrees. Working across a large, dynamic fundraising team, this position serves as the functional backbone for our Development teams, supporting critical data and documentation functions. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this role ensures our Development teams have the resources needed to expand and sustain the organization’s funding base.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Operational Efficiency: Designing and maintaining core internal workflows and systems that measurably improve the Development team’s project turnaround times.
- Data Integrity: Ensuring 100% data accuracy in Salesforce for all grant- and development-related deadlines, pipeline updates, and interaction logs, serving as the department’s database anchor.
- Deadline Management: Ensuring grant submissions and reporting deadlines are always achieved through proactive communication and early resource preparation.

- To perform the essential functions of this position, employees may be required to:

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative & Team Operations
- Develop, optimize, and maintain internal systems, workflows, and documentation to enhance operational efficiency across the Development teams.
- Assist in preparing high-quality materials for Board committees, leadership presentations, fundraising reports, and Advisory Board meetings as needed.
- Manage shared calendars, grant tracking schedules, and any other shared platforms used for project management within the Development team.
- Coordinate schedules, agendas, and follow-ups for Development team meetings to ensure strong team and cross-departmental alignment.
Grants Administration
- Track complex institutional reporting requirements by maintaining accurate due dates and pipelines within Salesforce.
- Maintain and update the grant-related assets containing core organizational, programmatic, and financial responses to common grant questions.
- Systematically update Salesforce records with grant opportunities, submissions, reporting, and key dates to accurately reflect the Institutional Development pipeline and effectively manage proposal timelines.
Event Support & General Duties
- Assist with logistics, administrative preparation, and detailed follow-up for donor cultivation events, foundation site visits, and stewardship opportunities as needed.
- With guidance from the Chief Development Officer, provide general logistical support with invitations and outreach strategies for regional donor events and Advisory Board meetings.
- Support and represent 10,000 Degrees at fundraising and appreciation events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position requires some in-person presence and/or travel within the regions served.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated professionalism, including reliability, preparedness, and strong time management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with self-initiative and accountability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- Growth mindset with a willingness to learn, receive feedback, and be self-reflective
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications
