Medical Assistant / Office Coordinator

Description
Now Hiring: Medical Assistant / Office Coordinator (Hybrid Role)
Coastal Care Primary Care, the concierge membership practice of Dr. Gaudry, is seeking a versatile, personable Medical Assistant / Office Coordinator to join our small, patient-focused team. This is a hybrid clinical and administrative role ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a close-knit practice, and wants to build lasting relationships with a dedicated patient panel.
About Our Practice
Coastal Care Primary Care is a membership-based Direct Primary Care (DPC) practice. Because we don't bill insurance for visits, our physician can spend more time with each patient and our team can focus on relationships rather than paperwork volume. It's a smaller, calmer, more personal environment than a typical high-volume clinic.
Position Overview
In a practice our size, everyone wears more than one hat. This role blends front-of-house coordination with hands-on clinical support, working directly alongside Dr. Gaudry throughout the day.
Clinical / Medical Assistant Duties
• Room patients, take vitals, and prepare them for visits
• Assist Dr. Gaudry with exams, minor procedures, and point-of-care testing
• Administer injections and vaccines, and perform phlebotomy/lab draws as needed
• Prepare and process lab specimens; follow up on results
• Maintain clinical supplies, equipment sterilization, and exam room readiness
• Document accurately and promptly in the EHR
Office Coordinator Duties
• Greet members and manage a warm, welcoming front-office experience
• Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar for the practice
• Answer phones, emails, and patient portal messages
• Support new member onboarding and maintain membership records
• Coordinate referrals, prescription refill requests, and outside records
• Manage basic office operations: supply ordering, mail, light bookkeeping support
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment
Requirements
Qualifications
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred, or equivalent hands-on clinical experience
• Prior experience in a medical office, front desk, or patient coordination role
• Comfortable with phlebotomy, injections, and basic clinical procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills — this is a relationship-driven practice
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing shifting priorities
• Proficiency with EHR systems and general office software
• Discretion and professionalism handling confidential patient information
• A team player who is comfortable in a small-office, no-task-too-small environment
Schedule & Compensation
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, standard business hours (no nights, weekends, or hospital call)
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Benefits package to be discussed during interview
