What You Will Do
- Scene Assessment & Triage: Evaluating the emergency scene for safety and determining the nature and severity of a patient's injury or illness.
- Documentation & Reporting: Recording observations, treatments, and patient history, and clearly relaying this information to receiving doctors and nurses.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspecting the ambulance and medical equipment to ensure the vehicle is clean, sanitized, and fully stocked for the next emergency call.
- Travel Adaptability: Must possess the flexibility to relocate and the clinical agility to integrate instantly into new emergency response teams. A proactive attitude toward shifting schedules and diverse patient demographics is essential.
Core Responsibilities
- Clinical Protocol Proficiency: Master and execute localized protocols immediately with minimal orientation, maintain precise and compliant clinical documentation, strictly adhere to national, state, and client agency scopes of practice, and ensure all position-required certifications and licensures are continuously maintained.
- Assignment Commitment: Complete the full assignment term with strict schedule compliance and zero operational interruptions; manage personal needs and extended time off strictly between assignments.
- Resilient Field Flexibility: Maintain a highly adaptable, solution-oriented approach when adjusting to shifting schedule demands, unfamiliar environments, and varying client agency dynamics with a constructive mindset.
- Executive Command Compliance: Follow complex operational directives from remote BPM leadership and client agency supervisors with high autonomy, clear communication, and limited to no close supervision.
- Supportive Crew Liaison: Embody a team-first traveler mindset by following directives, supporting existing client agency solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service, while partnering closely with shift partners and BPM leadership to ensure proper incident reporting and absolute assignment compliance.
Compensation:
- $35.00/hour
- Housing Stipend: $690.00/week

What You Will Do:

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience as an EMT
- National Registry: EMT (NREMT)
- American Heart Association: BLS (AHA BLS)
- Current Immunizations (MMR, Hep B, TDAP)
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a busy 911 system as an EMT
- Average work tenure of three years
- Previous traveller experience with Best Practice Medicine
