ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Toffee Line employee at Enstrom Candies is responsible for taking the Almond Toffee from its production stage to its finished product stage. The position involves packing the toffee into the jars, weighing, lidding, sealing, labeling and palletizing the finished jars. Auxiliary responsibilities include jar weight verification, and maintaining area cleanliness.

Other duties to support the full range of activities of the company may include processing shipping labels, light maintenance duties, assisting other departments, preparation of other candy products, and other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. Toffee Line Process includes ensuring quality of toffee as it progresses down the line, with pre-established guidelines

2. Lidding toffee jars ensuring quality of packing

3. Sealing of product to include trouble- shooting sealer machine

4. Responsible for palletizing toffee as directed

5. Label making on computerized label system

6. Moving wrapped pallets to freezer using pallet jack

7. Light janitorial duties as assigned

8. Assist in shipping room preparing packages for mail

9. Shared responsibility and participation in GMPs

10. Shared responsibility of maintaining HACCP compliance

11. Assist other departments as needed

Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Minimum behavioral requirements: must work well within a team environment; must maintain a positive attitude on the job, must arrive at work station as scheduled, stay at work station as assigned and attend work as scheduled.

2. Minimum Physical requirements: stand for the majority of the day, use repeated wrist motions without distress, high level of manual dexterity required; lift and carry up to 35 lbs; bend, stoop, climb ladders and kneel; push approximately 500 lbs on carts; follow directions and safety procedures;

3. Tools, Equipment and Machinery used: scales, laser, box cutter, pallet jack, and lidding machine.

4. Risk of Assault or Injury: Moderate; must follow safety procedures
