About the Role

Description

About Camfit

CamFit is a multi-studio Orangetheory Fitness franchisee committed to delivering a world-class fitness experience

through science-backed, heart rate-based interval training. In 60 minutes, our members reach their optimal heart

rate zones, burn calories, and build a stronger, healthier life. Every role at CamFit is a role in changing lives.

We are a people-first organization. We hire for energy, develop for excellence, and promote from within.

Why This Role Matters

The Studio Manager is the business operator of the studio. While the Head Coach owns the fitness product, you

own everything else: sales performance, sales staff development, member experience, financial health, and the

culture that holds it all together. A great Studio Manager makes the Head Coach better, the team stronger, and

the studio a place people want to work and work out.

Job Summary

As Studio Manager, you lead day-to-day operations, drive revenue, develop your team, and create a studio

culture built on energy, accountability, and genuine care for members. You partner closely with the Head Coach

to align on the fitness product, but the business is yours to run. You report to the Regional Business Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Revenue Performance

• Own studio revenue performance including new memberships, renewals, and retail.

• Execute lead generation strategies, community outreach, and in-studio marketing campaigns.

• Oversee the full sales process from inquiry through membership conversion with a strong focus on metrics

and accountability.

• Provide weekly KPI reporting to the Regional Business Manager.

Intro Process and Membership Conversion

• Own the intro process on the sales side from arrival through membership close.

• Ensure sales associates are trained, confident, and consistently executing the intro process.

• All studio leaders, including you, are responsible for growing membership and closing. This is never purely

the SA and Coaching team's job.

• Track intro conversion as a leading indicator and address gaps immediately.

Team Development and Staffing

• Recruit, hire, train, and develop all studio staff.

• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching conversations, and individual development check-ins.

• Hold staff accountable to performance standards with consistency and care.

• Partner with the Head Coach on creating a high-performance, positive studio culture.

Sales Associate Leadership

• Recruit, onboard, and develop sales associates.

• Hold sales associates accountable to daily and weekly performance targets.

• Manage front-of-house culture and ensure a consistent, high-quality member experience.

• Conduct sales associate payroll review, timecard accuracy and processing.

Community Building and Studio Culture

• Build a studio community that members talk about, one where people come for the workout and stay for the

people.

• Create regular touchpoints with members beyond class: recognition, milestone celebrations, challenges, and

events that deepen engagement and loyalty.

• Model the energy and culture you want to see. The tone of the studio starts with you.

Talent Pipeline and Team Building

• Actively recruit coaches and sales associates from within the member base. The best candidates already

believe in what we do.

• Personally invite high-potential members to consider a role at CamFit. Do not wait for applications, go find

the talent.

• Support interested members in pursuing an approved fitness certification. Know the pathway and be able to

walk someone through it.

• Maintain an ongoing pipeline of qualified candidates so the studio is never in a position of hiring out of

desperation.

• Keeping the studio fully and excellently staffed is a leadership responsibility, not an HR function.

Studio Cleanliness Standards

• Maintain a second-to-none cleanliness standard across all areas of the studio at all times, including the

fitness floor, lobby, locker rooms, restrooms, and back-of-house areas.

• Cleanliness is not a task assigned to one role. Every team member is responsible for upholding the standard

on every shift.

• Address cleanliness issues immediately and do not wait for a scheduled cleaning cycle to correct them.

Facilities, Repairs, and Preventative Maintenance

• Report all repair and maintenance needs through the company's facilities ticketing system promptly. Do not

allow outstanding issues to linger without a ticket in the system.

• Follow up on open maintenance tickets to ensure timely resolution. Unresolved items are your accountability

until they are closed.

• Execute and document all monthly preventative maintenance standards for your studio on schedule.

• Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and facility systems so you can identify issues before they

become outages.

Studio Operations and Financial Management

• Lead and manage all aspects of studio operations: sales systems, scheduling, and compliance.

• Manage studio budget including payroll, inventory, cost controls, and vendor relationships.

• Ensure adherence to all brand standards, corporate policies, and operational systems.

• Handle escalated member concerns with professionalism and a resolution focus.

Marketing and Community

• Plan and execute promotional events, member engagement initiatives, and studio contests.

• Build relationships in the local community to drive awareness, referrals, and new membership.

• Represent CamFit and OTF with professionalism at all external events and partnerships.

Required Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of sales leadership and management experience, fitness industry strongly preferred

• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

• Experience managing teams including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or scheduling software (MindBody preferred)

• Flexible schedule availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Full-time role requiring flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Studio hours of operation drive the schedule; this is not a standard 9-to-5 role

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Exercise Science, or related field

• Experience managing a P&L or studio-level budget

• Familiarity with OTF brand standards and operations

This Role is Right for You if...

• You are as energized by a strong sales day as by a packed class.

• You can develop a team, run the P&L, and still be the first person to welcome a new member.

• You hold a high bar and you hold it consistently, not just when it is convenient.

• You want to build a studio that people in the community talk about.
