We're seeking an Asset Recovery Coordinator to support the commercialization of scrap materials, surplus inventory, used railroad ties, industrial equipment, rolling stock, and other recoverable assets generated throughout our nationwide operations.

This is more than a coordinator role—it's an opportunity to build a career in A&K's growing commercial organization. You'll work closely with operations, procurement, logistics, and sales teams while gaining experience in commodity markets, customer development, inventory monetization, transportation, and commercial strategy. This position offers a clear path for growth into future asset recovery and secondary markets leadership roles.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate the sale and disposition of scrap materials, surplus inventory, industrial equipment, and other recoverable assets
  • Monitor scrap market trends, pricing, and buyer activity to identify value recovery opportunities
  • Build relationships with recyclers, brokers, mills, and secondary market customers
  • Coordinate customer inquiries, bids, shipments, and sales transactions
  • Work with operations and logistics teams to support efficient asset recovery activities
  • Prepare reports and market analysis that support business decisions and commercial strategy

Required Qualifications

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • 1–5 years of experience in scrap recycling, metals processing, manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, industrial operations, or a related industry
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while working across several departments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the railroad, recycling, steel, foundry, or manufacturing industries
  • Familiarity with ferrous scrap grades, commodity markets, or industrial materials
  • Experience using ERP systems and inventory management software
  • Knowledge of transportation, rail logistics, or asset recovery operations
