This technician will have the ability to calibrate higher-level equipment and calibrate equipment across a minimum of three disciplines (or have an expert level of knowledge/calibration experience in one to two disciplines).

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing calibration services for test equipment primarily in the field of RF and Electrical metrology.
  • Work with other technicians within the lab to learn calibration fundamentals, which can include measurement, temperature, electronics, etc.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
  • Maintain calibration standards
  • Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site
  • Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Genuine interest in RF and Electrical metrology, in order to become an expert.
  • Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and attenuators
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, thermometers is an asset
  • Good repair and troubleshooting skills
  • Willing to perform extensive calibrations at customer sites
