Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for catering customers throughout the ordering process.
- Consult with customers regarding menu selections, guest counts, budgets, dietary restrictions, and special requests.
- Prepare catering proposals, estimates, invoices, contracts, and order confirmations.
- Coordinate catering orders with all internal departments to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Develop production schedules and communicate timelines to all participating departments.
- Monitor catering orders from beginning to completion and proactively address changes or issues.
- Coordinate deliveries, customer pickups, equipment needs, and event logistics.
- Verify catering orders for completeness, presentation, quality, and accuracy before delivery or pickup.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding order status and updates.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate catering records, calendars, customer files, and payment documentation.
- Assist with menu recommendations, seasonal offerings, and upselling opportunities when appropriate.
- Support on-site catering setup and execution when required.
- Maintain working knowledge of current menu offerings, pricing, and product availability.
- Work collaboratively with all departments to promote teamwork and operational efficiency.
- Assist with administrative duties related to catering operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, restaurant operations, event coordination, or customer service preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and order management systems.
