Data Lead W/ Functional Background + MDG Experience

The Data Lead will be responsible for leading all data-related activities for the SAP template roll-out in Egypt, ensuring data readiness to support deployment, business continuity, and alignment with the global SAP template. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong SAP functional background and proven experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), capable of managing data scope, quality, governance, cleansing, validation, and migration activities across multiple business functions.

The successful candidate will work closely with functional leads, business stakeholders, and the central program team to ensure critical master and transactional data is accurate, complete, and ready for testing, cutover, and go-live.

• Lead the Data workstream for the Egypt SAP template roll-out.
• Define and manage the data strategy, scope, project plan, and readiness activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive data cleansing, enrichment, validation, mapping, and migration tracking across key master and transactional data objects.
• Work closely with functional leads and business stakeholders to define data requirements, ownership, governance, and quality controls.
• Support data object assessments, migration templates, load preparation, reconciliation, and defect resolution.
• Coordinate master data and transactional data readiness in line with testing, cutover, deployment, and go-live milestones.
• Leverage SAP functional knowledge to understand business processes, data dependencies, and critical business requirements across workstreams.
• Support Data Governance and SAP MDG processes to ensure master data consistency and quality.
• Track data risks, issues, dependencies, and readiness status, escalating where required.
• Provide regular reporting on data quality, migration progress, reconciliation results, and overall project readiness.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP Data Migration certification is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in SAP Data Management, Data Migration, or Master Data Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading SAP data workstreams or data migration teams.
• Proven experience in at least one full SAP implementation or global template roll-out project.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) is mandatory.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration projects is highly preferred.

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP data management, data migration, or master data management.
• Proven hands-on experience leading data activities in SAP implementation or SAP template roll-out programs.
• Strong SAP functional background with the ability to understand end-to-end business processes and data dependencies.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
• Strong experience in data cleansing, profiling, validation, mapping, migration, reconciliation, and data readiness tracking.
• Strong understanding of SAP master data and transactional data structures across multiple functional areas.
• Experience defining data governance processes, ownership models, and data quality controls.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare activities from a data perspective.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across business, functional, and technical teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced project environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in FMCG industry environments.
• Experience in global SAP template roll-out programs.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks and master data quality management.
• Experience coordinating with functional, integration, testing, and technical teams.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, or similar SAP data migration tools.
• SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, or related SAP certifications.
