Part-Time Veterinary Nurse – Greencross South Morang

About the role

This is a part-time position (approximately 28.5 hours per week), with the potential to increase to a full-time role as the clinic continues to grow.

As an integral member of our nursing team, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and fellow nurses to deliver high-quality patient care and outstanding client service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting veterinarians during consultations, procedures, and surgeries
  • Monitoring anaesthetics and supporting surgical patients
  • Performing diagnostic testing, blood collection, and IV catheter placement
  • Administering medications and treatments
  • Providing nursing care to hospitalised patients
  • Supporting and educating pet owners on health and preventative care
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records
  • Helping to mentor and support less experienced team members
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient clinic environment

About you

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
  • Has previous experience working in a clinical veterinary nursing role (2+ years idea
  • Is confident with both medical and surgical nursing duties
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enjoys working collaboratively within a team environment
  • Takes pride in delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Is proactive, reliable, and eager to continue learning and developing their skills
