Sports Team Freelance Physiotherapist (N&HS)

The appointee will work closely with university athletes, providing professional physiotherapy services to enhance their performance, recovery, and overall physical well-being. The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

·   Delivering physiotherapy care during training sessions and competitions, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation;  

·   Accompanying sports teams to competitions and events, providing on-site physiotherapy services as required;  

·   Collaborating with coaches and trainers to design and implement tailored strength and conditioning programmes for athletes;  

·   Conducting educational talks and workshops for athletes to promote injury prevention, recovery strategies, and physical health management;  

·   Assessing and monitoring the physical condition of athletes to ensure optimal performance and readiness for training and competition; and  

·   Maintaining accurate records and documentation of physiotherapy services provided to athletes. 

Candidates

Candidates are expected to possess the following:

·   A recognized degree in Physiotherapy;

·       A Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Hong Kong Physiotherapists Board;

·    Previous experience in sports physiotherapy or working with university sports teams is highly desirable;

·   In-depth knowledge of sports injuries, rehabilitation techniques, injury prevention strategies, and strength and conditioning training;

·   Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes, coaches, and staff;

·   Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments, such as during competitions; and

·    Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 

Duration of Appointment

1 September 2026 to 31 August  2027
