About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
As a Level 1 Recovery Assistant, you'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to helping people regain independence after an accident. This is a desk-based role with no face-to-face client contact required, where you'll support recovery through phone calls, emails and managing allocated tasks. Working within a many-to-many service model, you'll help coordinate recovery supports, make informed decisions, and contribute to positive client outcomes while helping keep Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
We are recruiting for a Level 1 Recovery Assistant role. Your responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating services and resources to support individual recovery plans.
• Communicating with clients, providers and stakeholders to keep recovery on track, including delivering unfavourable decisions at times.
• Problem-solving complex situations and clearly explaining decisions and outcomes.
• Working across multiple systems to manage information accurately and efficiently.
• Contributing to a collaborative team environment that supports continuity of care and shared knowledge.
The start date for this role is 12 October 2026. Hours for this role are set between 8.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. The option to explore flexible working that suits your needs and ours may be considered once training is complete.

• You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.

The appointing salary for this role will $67,422 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.
