Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chef De Parti to join our culinary team at our Conti Cuisine establishment in Mysuru, India. In this role, you will take charge of a specific kitchen station, overseeing food preparation, quality control, and team coordination. You will work collaboratively with our head chef and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and culinary excellence.

  • Lead and manage a designated kitchen station (partie), ensuring consistent preparation and presentation of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Prepare and cook menu items with precision, maintaining quality, portion control, and plating excellence
  • Train, supervise, and mentor junior kitchen staff assigned to your station, providing guidance on techniques and food safety protocols
  • Monitor and manage inventory, food costs, and supplies for your station to minimize waste and optimize efficiency
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and maintain kitchen organization
  • Contribute innovative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials that align with Conti cuisine traditions
  • Maintain detailed records of station activities, including food preparation logs and staff performance observations
  • Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement solutions to improve station efficiency and output
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance culinary skills and knowledge

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional kitchen experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment
  • Proven experience managing a kitchen station with demonstrated leadership of kitchen staff
  • Advanced culinary skills with expertise in Conti cuisine preparation (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and HACCP principles
  • Proficiency with professional kitchen equipment and tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks during service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain composure and work efficiently under pressure during peak service times
  • Knowledge of inventory management and food cost control
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to consistency and quality in all aspects of food preparation
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
