Responsibilities

We are looking for a Reception Support Volunteer to support on our busy reception.

 

Your role as a Reception Support Volunteer is to be the first point of contact within the service greeting all our visitors promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.

Duties for the post include:

  • Dealing with initial queries, liaising with relevant staff.
  • Coordinating appointments and managing a busy waiting area.
  • Sign-posting clients to support available within the service and the community (for example, smoking cessation, SMART recovery, Mutual Aid groups, amongst others).

This is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to gain experience of volunteering within the substance misuse field. You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role. 

 

Training:

Attendance on training is an essential part for the volunteer role.

Mandatory: Volunteer Induction training

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

Required: Drug Awareness training

Required: Harm Reduction training

Required: Alcohol Awareness training

 

Training dates, to be confirmed

 

Interviews for this role will be held at Crown House, Worksop on the 1st September.
