Blue Sky Bank is seeking a Senior Loan Assistant in Tulsa, Oklahoma!
Support successful loan closings. Build strong customer relationships. Make a meaningful impact.
As a Senior Loan Assistant, you will play an essential role in facilitating commercial and private banking loan transactions from application through closing and ongoing servicing. You'll work closely with the Lending Team, Lead Portfolio Managers, Loan Operations, and customers to ensure a seamless lending experience while maintaining compliance with bank policies and procedures.

What You'll Do
- Process commercial and private banking loan applications and maintain accurate loan records
- Coordinate loan closings, including ordering credit reports, flood certificates, title work, and appraisals
- Perform UCC searches and prepare loan documentation for funding and closing
- Collect required documentation and closing fees to ensure timely loan closings
- Process loan advances and coordinate loan payment requests
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer loan inquiries and closings
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service
- Assist customers with loan and account-related questions
- Identify opportunities to refer and cross-sell appropriate bank products and services
- Monitor loan and credit exceptions and obtain required borrower documentation
- Track past-due, coming-due, and overdraft reports, coordinating follow-up actions as needed
- Support ongoing loan servicing requirements and documentation maintenance
- Demonstrate an understanding of financial spreads, modeling, and portfolio monitoring
- Act as a liaison between lending and operations teams to ensure smooth communication and workflow
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation requests
- Support tracking of recordable documents, title work, and loan-related documentation
Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Experience: 5+ years of commercial lending documentation/administration experience.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record report, and reliable transportation.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to continuously learn.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and effectively execute multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of commercial lending documentation/ administration.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent customer service skills.
