About The Company
Circuit of The Americas is a world-class motorsports and entertainment venue in Texas, located nine miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and less than 15 miles from downtown Austin. Circuit of The Americas is more than a track – it is designed to be the only purpose-built facility in the U.S. to host the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ through 2026. It will be the only FIA-certified Grade 1 track in the United States, and one of only 26 Grade 1-certified motorsports facilities in the world. The venue is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world and be seen by approximately 30 million television viewers across the globe for the FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ while also hosting dozens of high-profile motorsports (MotoGP and NASCAR), entertainment and business events each year. COTA will also serve as a leader in sustainability as it relates to major event venues and motorsports, through high-performance operations, design, research, education and partnerships. The FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX™ will attract as many as 400,000 people each Grand Prix weekend, with an estimated 80 percent of attendees coming from outside Texas.

COTALAND BARISTA

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. COTALAND is an amusement park with over 30 attractions and experiences, including first-of-their-kind roller coasters.



The Barista at COTALAND is responsible for preparing and serving high quality coffee and specialty beverages while delivering friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced theme park environment. This role plays a key part in the guest experience by maintaining speed, accuracy, and consistency during high traffic operating days and special events.



Requirements



Requirements & Essential Functions:

  • Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to COTALAND standards.
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, point-of-sale (POS) systems and other equipment safely and accurately.
  • Deliver friendly, engaging guest service while managing high-volume order flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of barista stations, equipment, and service areas.
  • Stock and replenish coffee, milk, syrups, cups, and supplies throughout the shift.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and allergen-awareness procedures.
  • Support the opening, operating, and closing duties of the café location.
  • Communicate guest feedback, equipment issues, and supply needs to supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with culinary, stewarding, and front-of-house teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Barista or Coffee Shop Associate in a fast-paced environment; prior theme park, entertainment venue, or high-volume guest service experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Physical Demand & Work Environments:
  • Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
  • Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
