The Human Resources Generalist/Executive Assistant reports to the Administrative Officer and the Board of Directors.
Job Overview
The Human Resources Generalist/Executive Assistant is responsible for overseeing essential functions that drive employee satisfaction, productivity, and organizational success. The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including recruitment and talent acquisition, training and development, performance management, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance.

Requirements
Human Resources (80%)
· Manage the talent acquisition process which includes screening job applicants and arranging interviews.
· Manage the onboarding process, schedule all pre-hire appointments, and coordinate orientation.
· Manage payroll including payroll documentation and timecard validation.
· Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
· Conduct employee relations investigations, communicate findings and make recommendations
· Manage employee benefits program, including health, dental, vision, and supplementals.
· Submit and track workers’ compensation claims and FMLA requests.
· Manage performance evaluations.
· Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
· Ensure agency maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Analyze HR metrics including recruitment/retention, workplace injury, and disciplinary action trends.
· Perform employee exit interviews and report any trends to management.
· Implement organization’s compensation strategy, including tracking annual raises and/or merit increases.
· Maintain employee records and files.
· Perform other duties as assigned and/or needed based on organizational needs.
Executive Support (20%)
· Manage Director’s calendars, schedule meetings, appointments, and events, coordinating with internal/external stakeholders.
· Draft correspondence, create meeting minutes and organize presentations.
· Handle sensitive information with discretion.
Required Qualifications
· Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
· Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
· Ability to multi-task, anticipate needs, and solve problems independently.
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience or familiarity with healthcare/EMS field.
· Familiarity with Paylocity.
· Ability to leverage AI tools to streamline work.
