Position Summary:

The QA Analyst I plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and quality of election-related projects. The role includes performing quality assurance (QA) testing on ballots, data imports, and project configurations to verify accuracy before deployment. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for maintaining public trust in the election process. The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, follow structured testing procedures, document findings, and support both hands-on testing and digital QA workflows.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the setup, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of test equipment and software.
  • Prepare and execute test decks through precinct scanners and central count tabulators; validate outputs against expected results.
  • Conduct manual testing for election-related projects including ballot builds, tabulator functionality, audio validation, and reporting tools.
  • Identify and document test anomalies; assist in root cause analysis and resolution in alignment with compliance standards.
  • Perform basic functional and data validation testing to confirm accuracy and stability prior to project release.
  • Help maintain documentation for QA protocols, procedures, and tools.
  • Assist operations teams with field testing, troubleshooting, customer support, and documentation.
  • Perform other tasks and QA support duties as assigned.

Requirements

  Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in IT, political science, engineering, or related field or equivalent certifications (A+, Network+, Security+)
  • Experience in quality assurance, election operations, or systems testing
  • Experience with ticketing systems QA tools (e.g., Jira Service Management)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured testing procedures
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Good written and verbal communication for documenting issues and reporting findings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification when needed
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines, especially in time-sensitive election periods
  • Knowledge and understanding of software programs
  • Ability to establish and maintain business relationships with internal stakeholders. 
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify potential solutions and preventive measures.
  • Ability to travel for election day support

The position will be located in our Denver, CO office. The compensation for this position is $25.00 per hour. The role is benefits eligible. This will be a contract role through November 13, 2026, and will remain open until it is filled.
