About the Role
Description
GenCare Lifestyle @ Steel Lake in Federal Way is a Premier Senior Independent/Assisted Living/Memory Care Community. We have an immediate opening for an LPN for a TEMPORARY 90 DAY position in our Memory Care. MUST HAVE AN LPN NURSING DEGREE and experience in Memory Care to be considered for this position.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medications and treatments safely while managing physician orders, medication supplies, audits, and monthly reconciliation processes.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition, implement and update care plans, communicate concerns promptly, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and survey-ready clinical documentation in EMAR/QuickMAR, including charting, treatments, incidents, and care plan updates.
- Coordinate physician orders, pharmacy services, outside providers, and transitions of care to ensure continuity and accurate implementation of treatment plans.
- Lead and support caregivers and medication technicians by providing education, clinical guidance, and oversight of resident care and delegated tasks.
- Manage incidents by completing thorough investigations and documentation, notifying appropriate parties, evaluating for abuse or neglect, and promoting a safe environment.
- Support admissions by reviewing care plans, educating staff on resident needs, and identifying gaps in services or documentation.
- Foster effective communication with residents, families, providers, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards, state regulations, GenCare policies, resident rights, and serve as a Whole Life Living Champion promoting resident engagement and wellness.
Salary is highly competitive and dependent on experience.
