The REMM Group is looking for a strategic and skilled Community Manager to oversee the operations of two communities in Thousand Oaks, CA, including maintaining physical assets and financial health.
Candidates should have experience in multifamily property management and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills. The community manager must also have prior multifamily management experience and excellent communication and organizational abilities. Yardi experience is required, and the candidate should demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be capable of managing, mentoring, and motivating their team effectively. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. *Please note that no rental discount is available.

- Fulfilling leasing, marketing, financial, management, and administrative responsibilities as established by The REMM Group. Takes ownership of assets and has an entrepreneurial approach to managing.
- Review, analyze, and interpret market data.
- Provides leadership to the team.
- Promotes client satisfaction and retention.
- Ensuring that the community meets the established operational, financial, and business performance goals.
- Coordinating work activities and services from vendors, consultants, and other contractors.
- Ensures that the appearance and physical aspects of the properties meet the Company's established standards.
- Demonstrate initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity, independent judgment, and exercise confidence and confidentiality in all areas of performance.
- Oversee the leasing process, including qualifying prospective residents, verifying rental applications, application approvals, lease executions, renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, including communication with residents, handling maintenance requests, fostering resident relations, organizing community activities, explaining community procedures, and addressing resident concerns.
- Prepare and manage property budgets, monitor income and expenses, and submit timely financial reports.
- Collecting and depositing outstanding monies due to the community in a secure and timely manner. Process pay or quit notices, contact residents regarding delinquencies, and prepare/submit files to the legal department. May be required to represent the organization as an agent for the owner in court-related matters.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in multifamily property management.
- Must have two years of experience as a Community Manager.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Proficiency in Yardi software and other property management systems is required.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage budgets and achieve financial goals.
- Knowledge of local landlord-tenant laws and Fair Housing regulations.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Must have and maintain reliable transportation.
