About the Role
Description
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted provider of commercial trade services, supporting new construction, tenant improvements, and a wide range of service projects. We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team and help coordinate daily operations under the direction of department management.
Schedule
Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a rotating on call weekend shift
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse and yard operations to ensure safe, efficient, and organized workflows
- Develop, implement, and maintain warehouse procedures in accordance with company policies and operational best practices
- Coordinate the delivery, pickup, and distribution of materials, equipment, and tools for commercial construction and service projects throughout the region
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct routine inventory audits
- Participate in employee interviews, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and employee development
- Supervise warehouse personnel, delivery drivers, and mechanics by assigning work, monitoring productivity, and promoting accountability
- Review employee timecards and coordinate time-off requests in accordance with company policies
- Ensure company vehicles, heavy equipment, and tools are inspected to verify they are safe, operational, and ready for use
- Coordinate with the Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments regarding vendor invoices, purchase orders, and inventory-related transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA/Cal/OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, and workplace safety standards
- Provide operational updates and departmental reports to management
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in the construction industry or construction materials supply chain
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and mobile technology
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
