About the Role

Description

National Airlines, based in Orlando, FL, operates passenger charter service as well as customized military and commercial air cargo carriages worldwide. National Airlines specializes in over-sized, time sensitive, and special handling requirements, utilizing 747-400, 777, and A-330 aircraft to accomplish its missions.  

Job Title: Flight Training Scheduling Analyst

Location: Orlando, FL

Department: Flight Training & Standards

Summary: The Flight Training Scheduling Analyst is responsible for assisting with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of Ground School and Simulator Training for all line, supervisory and management pilots and other company personnel, to ensure currency requirements are met in compliance with Company and Federal Regulations. The position is also responsible for assisting with the planning and scheduling of all available training facilities and instructor resources to accomplish training in the most productive and cost-effective way.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Flight Operations Training & Standards, cross-functional teams, and departmental leaders to establish the scope, deliverables, resource requirements, work plans, and timelines for new training initiatives.
  • Identify and coordinate requirements involving internal departments, cross-functional teams, and external vendors while maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain daily training schedules for pilots, Instructor/Evaluators (I/Es), and other company personnel.
  • Manage simulator, training device, and classroom schedules to ensure training requirements are supported.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain projected Flight Operations training schedules.
  • Schedule pilots, I/Es, Check Airmen, and other company personnel for required training and qualification events.
  • Coordinate with training vendors to secure classrooms, simulators, and other training devices.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate internal departments and external vendors to arrange travel and lodging for pilots, I/Es, and Check Airmen supporting training events.
  • Coordinate with appropriate FAA personnel to schedule required training observations, evaluations, and simulator activities.
  • Monitor Check Airman schedules and availability to ensure adequate coverage of scheduled training and checking events.
  • Coordinate with Crew Scheduling to assign Check Airmen as required and resolve scheduling conflicts or coverage issues.
  • Coordinate with Operating Experience (OE) and Line Check Scheduling to ensure alignment of training and qualification activities.
  • Ensure training schedule changes, qualifications, and other relevant information for pilots, I/Es, and Check Airmen are entered accurately and promptly into applicable systems, including AIMS, TM365, and other departmental software.
  • Crosstrain with Flight Training Records personnel to support departmental continuity and operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 
  • Two (2) years’ scheduling, logistics, or planning experience.
  • Regulatory or airline experience with an understanding of Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) legalities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Crew Management Systems
  • Familiarity with Training Management Systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Accepts ownership and accountability for all functional obligations under minimal supervision.
  • Performs tasks and makes critical decisions effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in Strategic Planning and/or Project Management background.
  • Experience in Flight Training.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, copy machine/ printer.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
  • Light to moderate lifting up to 10 pounds.


Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phones, printers, light traffic).
  • Ability to work in a confined office or open cubicle environment

Travel Requirement:

  • Valid Passport required for travel
  • Domestic and international travel up to 50% 


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting. 
  • Ability to work flexible schedules to support the 24/7 operation. 
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple assignments under stress. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aircraft performance, navigation, weather, and Federal Air Regulations.
  • Monitor and understand meteorological conditions that may adversely affect the safety of the flight and relay information to the crew and managers.
