About the Role

Being a Mobile Engineer at Xtremax means building applications that deliver smooth, secure, and engaging experiences for users on the go. You’ll work with both native and cross-platform technologies, apply modern development practices, and collaborate with different teams to bring ideas to life. Candidates with public sector experience are preferred, as this role supports IT projects for government agencies.

The engineers will develop and maintain the iOS application, integrate with government digital services, and deliver secure, high-quality mobile applications that comply with Singapore Government standards and IM8 requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality iOS mobile applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Build intuitive, responsive, and secure mobile experiences that meet business and user requirements.
  • Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and external digital services, including government platforms such as Singpass, SearchSG, MUIS Halal System, and Quran.com (Senior Consultant).
  • Implement and maintain push notification services and other mobile platform capabilities.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise containerised build environments using Docker while supporting macOS-based build constraints.
  • Ensure application security by implementing mobile security best practices and complying with Singapore Government IM8 security requirements.
  • Build, deploy, and operate applications on Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) AWS environments.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, QA engineers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot, optimise, and resolve application defects to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold engineering best practices.
Senior
  • Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience, with strong expertise in iOS application development.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
  • Experience developing and maintaining containerised build environments using Docker, including macOS-based build constraints.
  • Proven experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and government digital services such as Singpass, SearchSG, MUIS Halal System, and Quran.com.
  • Experience implementing push notifications and native iOS platform capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of mobile application security and secure coding practices.
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on GCC AWS or AWS cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Government IM8 security standards and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience delivering public sector or government digital projects is highly preferred.
Intermediate
  • Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience, with hands-on iOS development experience.
  • Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
  • Experience working with containerised build environments using Docker, including macOS-based build constraints.
  • Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience implementing push notifications.
  • Understanding of mobile security best practices and secure application development.
  • Experience working with GCC AWS or AWS cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Government IM8 security requirements.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting public sector or government projects is an advantage.
