We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Process Worker to join our production team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader/Production Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Operating molding presses and other production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Setting up molding presses in accordance with job cards and production requirements.
- Preparing molding blanks and metal components for production.
- Applying adhesives to metal parts.
- Operating clicker presses, extruders and mills.
- Trimming, inspecting and identifying defective products.
- Packing and palletising finished products.
- Completing production paperwork, including timesheets.
- Assisting with the storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Maintaining clean and organised production and storage areas.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and safe work instructions.
Working Arrangements: Monday to Friday 5am – 1:06pm
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Basic mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction and multiplication.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to read and understand workplace safety procedures written in English.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Previous manufacturing or related industry experience (desirable).
- Be clean-shaven or willing to maintain facial hair at no more than 1–2 days' growth, as the role requires the use of a fitted respirator to safely perform certain tasks.
Working Environment
This is a physically active manufacturing role where you can expect to:
- Work indoors in a factory environment.
- Stand for the majority of your shift.
- Work around production machinery.
- Be exposed to manufacturing conditions including noise, dust, rubber fumes, solvent fumes and radiant heat from molding presses.
- Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, heat-resistant gloves and a fitted respirator where required.
Pre-Employment Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, which includes:
- Drug and alcohol screening.
- Audiometric (hearing) assessment.
- Spirometry (lung function) testing.
