About the Role
The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Employee & Labor Relations is a senior HR leader responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for Employee Relations and Labor Relations across Temple University Health System (TUHS) and its affiliated entities. Reporting to the Vice President of Employee & Labor Relations, the AVP serves as a senior advisor and subject matter expert on complex employee and labor relations matters, including investigations, workforce strategy, contract administration, collective bargaining, grievance and arbitration management, labor-management relations, and employment law compliance. The AVP partners closely with executive leadership, Legal, Human Resources leadership, operational leaders, and Employee and Labor Relations professionals to ensure consistent, legally compliant, and business-focused outcomes across the organization.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Required
Master's Degree /or Juris Doctor degree Required
Experience
10+ years of progressive experience in Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Human Resources leadership Required
General Experience Demonstrated expertise in workplace investigations, grievance administration, arbitration preparation, collective bargaining, and employment law compliance Required
General Experience leading enterprise-wide workforce initiatives and advising senior leadership Required
General Experience in a highly unionized healthcare environment Preferred
Licenses
Sr Prof in Human Resources Preferred or
SHRM - SCP Preferred
Education
