GCEFCU is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to be our Membership Coordinator!


The Membership Coordinator plays a crucial role in shaping each member's experience in our Pasadena lobby, ensuring exceptional service for both internal and external members. This position will directly support all functions of the Membership and Lending Departments, along with other departments as needed.


We currently have two available positions with the schedule of: M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm, and Saturday's 9am to 12pm.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the first point of contact for members and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional experience at the Credit Union. Responds to routine inquiries regarding services such as online banking, stop payments, and account statements. Assists members in navigating available resources and directs them to appropriate departments for specialized support. Processes daily debit and credit card orders, assists members with fraud dispute documentation, and ensures timely and accurate handling of check orders and reorders. Communicates with vendors to resolve issues related to check orders, maintaining a high standard of service and follow-through. 
  • Performs a variety of miscellaneous clerical tasks including verification of deposits for the membership, receive and distribute daily mail, general typing, filing, and computer input. 
  • Responsible for the daily opening and closing of the branch. Allow 2nd Floor access to employees and non-employees (vendors, maintenance workers). 
  • Keep vault and safe deposit box vault organized and update by eliminating outdated or unnecessary materials, destroy or transfer to inactive storage according to the file maintenance guidelines and/or legal requirements. Keep records of materials removed using logbooks. 
  • Ensures that the proper documents are completed when a member rents a safe deposit box and that a periodic payment is set-up for the annual rental fee. Clocks member in and out of boxes. Maintains inventory. 
  • Responsible for monitoring the two Lobby areas to ensure they remain neat and inviting for members. Reports maintenance concerns and areas needing attention immediately. 
  • To achieve or exceed the established sales and service goals through building of member relationships and educating members about credit union services. 
  • Responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all governmental regulations and Credit Union Policies and guidelines. Responsible for complying with Federal Rules and Regulations as required by NCUA. 
  • Other duties as assigned as may be required from time to time that are commensurate with this position. 


Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
  • Good public relations and communications skills.
  • Must be friendly, courteous and charismatic, able to multi-task, and handle the stress of a busy front desk and lobby.
  • Must be proficient on a keyboard and have a basic knowledge or experience in using PC based Windows applications (Outlook, excel, word).
  • Must be good with detail to deal with numbers and names.
