About the Role

Description

Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic leadership for CPT's human resources function, ensuring the company attracts, develops, engages, and retains exceptional talent while supporting continued organizational growth. Reporting to the President and CEO, this position partners with executive leadership to align people strategies with business objectives, lead HR operations, and fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. The Director serves as a strategic advisor and advocate for the company, balancing employee needs with business objectives and organizational priorities. The successful candidate will balance sound business judgment with genuine care for people, earning the trust of employees and leaders alike while helping the organization navigate growth, develop its leaders, and build a high-performing culture. 


Primary Responsibilities 


Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning 

  • Lead CPT's enterprise recruiting strategy to support rapid organizational growth and successfully fill critical positions.  
  • Expand and strengthen the Task Force Recruiting (TFR) model by developing recruiting capabilities across the organization.  
  • Partner with business leaders to forecast workforce needs, improve recruiting processes, and build sustainable talent pipelines.  

Employee Relations 

  • Provide strategic oversight of the company's employee relations program, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant employment practices. 
  • Partner with managers to address complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance improvement plans, and terminations. 
  • Coach leaders on employee performance, conflict resolution, and effective people management while fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and engagement. 

Employee Engagement & Organizational Development 

  • Develop and implement initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, drive  retention, and foster a consistent employee experience across the enterprise.  
  • Lead the company's internal HR communications strategy, including employee announcements, newsletters, benefits communications, and other initiatives that promote transparency, engagement, and organizational alignment. 
  • Lead performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and manager coaching initiatives that support organizational growth.  
  • Promote a culture of accountability, recognition, communication, and continuous improvement.  

Benefits & Employee Experience 

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Company’s 401(k), ESOP, and benefit programs to provide accurate guidance and support informed decision making.  
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits and the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.  
  • Partner with the Finance & Accounting to support benefits strategy, annual renewals, employee communications, and ongoing program administration.  
  • Ensure employees receive responsive, high-quality HR support and guidance.  

HR Operations, Compliance & Risk Management 

  • Direct the company's HR operations, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.  
  • Maintain/develop HR policies, procedures, employment practices, and compliance programs that support a growing government contractor.  
  • Identify organizational and employment-related risks and develop proactive solutions.  

HR Analytics & Business Partnership 

  • Develop meaningful workforce metrics and dashboards that provide actionable insight into recruiting, retention, engagement, and organizational health.  
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify workforce challenges, recommend strategic solutions, and align human capital initiatives with CPT's business objectives.  
  • Lead and develop the HR team while driving continuous improvement across the HR function. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.  
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, including 3+ years of HR leadership experience. 
  • Experience supporting a government contractor strongly desired. 
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment law.  
  • Experience leading recruiting, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance.  
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills.  
  • Demonstrates exceptional judgement, professionalism, sensitivity, and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive employee and organizational matters
