What they build and who they serve.
Axoft is a Cambridge, Massachusetts neurotechnology company developing implantable brain-computer interfaces (iBCIs) built on its proprietary Fleuron material, which is engineered to be roughly 10,000x softer than the polyimide used in conventional neural implants. The company was co-founded in 2021 by Paul Le Floch, Tianyang Ye, and Harvard professor Jia Liu, and has implanted its devices in 11 patients across early clinical studies aimed at improving prognosis and communication for people with neurological disorders. Axoft also commercializes Fleuron for biomedical applications under an exclusive licensing agreement with Stanford University.
