<p>Apply to join our award-winning team as an <strong>Accounting &amp; Finance Associate.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We're looking to hire an Accounting &amp; Finance Associate to join our Commercial Team and work closely on projects across MASE’s asset portfolio located in Jordan and UAE. &nbsp;MASE is a leading integrated player in the regional solar photovoltaic market focused on O&amp;M and Asset Management. As Accounting &amp; Finance Associate you will be responsible for&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results</li><li>Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status</li></ul><p><br></p><p>You will report to the Commercial Lead.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Your main tasks and responsibilities are:</u></p><ol><li>Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results</li><li>Analyse financial information and summarize financial status</li><li>Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending</li><li>Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures</li><li>Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process</li><li>Provide input into commercial team’s goal setting process</li><li>Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule</li><li>Assist with tax audits and tax returns</li><li>Liaise with internal and external audits to ensure compliance</li><li>Support month-end and year-end close process</li><li>Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls</li><li>Ensure compliance with relevant local and international principles</li><li>Liaise with our Commercial Lead to improve financial procedures</li><li>Assist in the development of short, medium and long-term forecasts and commercial strategies;</li><li>Support the Asset Management in their external finance and accounting-related reporting to external stakeholders (e.g. to the Board, Shareholders, Lenders and their advisors, regulators and utility).</li></ol><p><br></p><p><u>Your preferred skillset is:</u></p><p>Professional</p><ul><li>Degree in Finance and/or Accounting, or similar;</li><li>Preferably experience and background with SAP and/or similar accounting systems;</li><li>Experience with data mining techniques and application of statistical principles is an advantage;</li><li>Fluent in Arabic and English, spoken and written (additional languages plus).</li></ul><p>Personal</p><ul><li>Hands-on and self-reliant, someone who takes ownership to tasks and see them done, flexible and adaptable with a “can-do” attitude;</li><li>Strong analytical and methodical skills, able to handle complex systems, calculations and argumentations;</li><li>Organized, structured and able to formulate complex technical and commercial issues in a form available to non-experts;</li><li>Assertive and organizationally skilled, able to operate in dynamic, multi-location working environment, a team player able to work under pressure.</li></ul>
