Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Welder to join our growing team. The Welder assists in the fabrication of steel frames and building components. Ability to MIG weld and fit are a plus.


Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To:


· Scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood and gouger for tools used

· Safely perform skilled welding in the fabrication of steel frames and building components

· Maintain proper housekeeping of assigned work area

· Must always have a high awareness for safety

· Any other duties assigned

· Must train on company policies and procedures

· Must follow welding procedures


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:


· Familiar/fluent in MIG processes

· Previous experience with plasma torches & oxy acetylene cutting a plus

· Welding certifications beneficial but not required

Requirements

· Ability to lift 50lbs., bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time

· Must wear proper safety equipment

· Ability to read a tape measure

· Knowledge of basic math (add, subtract, multiply & divide fractions)


Boot Requirements:

· Must meet ASTM F2413-18 standards

· Must be full-leather (no fabric)

· Must have a built-in Metatarsal Guard (MT)
