About the Role
<div><strong>Job&nbsp;Brief</strong></div><div><br></div><div>The <strong>Chief&nbsp;Commercial&nbsp;Officer&nbsp;(CCO)</strong> is a key member of the executive team, responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial strategy and driving revenue performance. The CCO will oversee all functions related to <strong>Sales,&nbsp;Business&nbsp;Development,&nbsp;Partnerships,&nbsp;and&nbsp;Merchant&nbsp;Acquisition</strong>, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting market expansion.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>Define and implement the company’s commercial strategy in line with business goals.</li><li>Lead&nbsp;and&nbsp;manage&nbsp;teams&nbsp;across&nbsp;sales,&nbsp;business&nbsp;development,&nbsp;partnerships,&nbsp;and&nbsp;merchant&nbsp;acquisition.</li><li>Set&nbsp;revenue&nbsp;targets&nbsp;and&nbsp;KPIs;&nbsp;track&nbsp;performance&nbsp;and&nbsp;adjust&nbsp;strategies&nbsp;accordingly.</li><li>Oversee&nbsp;acquisition&nbsp;and&nbsp;retention&nbsp;of&nbsp;enterprise&nbsp;clients,&nbsp;SMEs,&nbsp;and&nbsp;high-value&nbsp;merchants.</li><li>Optimize&nbsp;and&nbsp;scale&nbsp;sales&nbsp;processes,&nbsp;systems,&nbsp;and&nbsp;team&nbsp;structures&nbsp;for&nbsp;growth.</li><li>Negotiate&nbsp;and&nbsp;structure&nbsp;commercial&nbsp;agreements&nbsp;that&nbsp;unlock&nbsp;new&nbsp;growth&nbsp;opportunities.</li><li>Represent&nbsp;the&nbsp;company&nbsp;in&nbsp;key&nbsp;external&nbsp;engagements&nbsp;and&nbsp;industry&nbsp;events.</li><li>Monitor&nbsp;market&nbsp;trends,&nbsp;customer&nbsp;behavior,&nbsp;and&nbsp;competitive&nbsp;dynamics&nbsp;to&nbsp;inform&nbsp;strategy.</li><li>Identify&nbsp;and&nbsp;lead&nbsp;entry&nbsp;into&nbsp;new&nbsp;sectors,&nbsp;geographies,&nbsp;or&nbsp;market&nbsp;segments.</li><li>Provide&nbsp;commercial&nbsp;insights&nbsp;to&nbsp;support&nbsp;fundraising&nbsp;and&nbsp;investor&nbsp;relations.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on go-to-market initiatives.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>10–15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role.</li><li>Proven&nbsp;track&nbsp;record&nbsp;in&nbsp;fintech,&nbsp;digital&nbsp;payments,&nbsp;banking,&nbsp;or&nbsp;a&nbsp;related&nbsp;technology-driven&nbsp;sector.</li><li>Demonstrated&nbsp;success&nbsp;in&nbsp;scaling&nbsp;sales&nbsp;and&nbsp;partnership&nbsp;operations&nbsp;in&nbsp;high-growth&nbsp;environments.</li><li>Strong&nbsp;network&nbsp;across&nbsp;Egypt’s&nbsp;financial&nbsp;services&nbsp;and&nbsp;merchant&nbsp;ecosystems.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA is highly desirable.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Key&nbsp;Competencies</strong></div><ul><li>Visionary commercial strategist with strong execution capabilities</li><li>Excellent&nbsp;leadership&nbsp;and&nbsp;team-building&nbsp;skills</li><li>Strong&nbsp;negotiation&nbsp;and&nbsp;deal-making&nbsp;abilities</li><li>Deep&nbsp;understanding&nbsp;of&nbsp;Egypt’s&nbsp;financial&nbsp;and&nbsp;regulatory&nbsp;landscape</li><li>Analytical&nbsp;and&nbsp;data-driven&nbsp;decision-maker</li><li>High integrity, accountability, and commercial acumen</li></ul>
