About the Role
<div><strong>Job Brief</strong></div><div><br></div><div>The <strong>Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)</strong> is a key member of the executive team, responsible for developing and executing the overall commercial strategy and driving revenue performance. The CCO will oversee all functions related to <strong>Sales, Business Development, Partnerships, and Merchant Acquisition</strong>, ensuring alignment with business objectives and supporting market expansion.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></div><ul><li>Define and implement the company’s commercial strategy in line with business goals.</li><li>Lead and manage teams across sales, business development, partnerships, and merchant acquisition.</li><li>Set revenue targets and KPIs; track performance and adjust strategies accordingly.</li><li>Oversee acquisition and retention of enterprise clients, SMEs, and high-value merchants.</li><li>Optimize and scale sales processes, systems, and team structures for growth.</li><li>Negotiate and structure commercial agreements that unlock new growth opportunities.</li><li>Represent the company in key external engagements and industry events.</li><li>Monitor market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy.</li><li>Identify and lead entry into new sectors, geographies, or market segments.</li><li>Provide commercial insights to support fundraising and investor relations.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align on go-to-market initiatives.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul><li>10–15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role.</li><li>Proven track record in fintech, digital payments, banking, or a related technology-driven sector.</li><li>Demonstrated success in scaling sales and partnership operations in high-growth environments.</li><li>Strong network across Egypt’s financial services and merchant ecosystems.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field; MBA is highly desirable.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Key Competencies</strong></div><ul><li>Visionary commercial strategist with strong execution capabilities</li><li>Excellent leadership and team-building skills</li><li>Strong negotiation and deal-making abilities</li><li>Deep understanding of Egypt’s financial and regulatory landscape</li><li>Analytical and data-driven decision-maker</li><li>High integrity, accountability, and commercial acumen</li></ul>
