About the Role

Description

Essential Functions
Ability to work in and provide individual and group clinical training of Internal Medicine – Main, Family Medicine – Main, Float Pool, Nurse Run Clinic and Urgent Care – Care Team members as required. 

Maintains and demonstrates competencies in Nurse Run Clinic, Urgent Care, Internal and Family Medicine Offices, MRI / CT, Executive Physicals, and Float Pool.

Assists is the instruction and completion of clinical competencies required of all newly hired care team members and annual competency requirements.

Assists in maintaining compliance with clinic policies and procedures and ensuring care team members receive the training required to be successful in their role.

Mentors newly hired care team members and to those who have transferred into one of our departments. Completes the Employee Training Evaluation form and monitors to ensure compliance.

Develops and maintains a good working relationship with Physicians, Providers, Care Team Members, Clinical Services Coordinator and Clinical Director.

Communicates to the Clinical Services Coordinator relevant information including direct observation of care team members for performance evaluations, offers recommendations for improvement and potential for disciplinary actions as required. 

Assists in maintaining compliance with clinic policies and procedures and ensuring care team members receive the training required to be successful in their role.

Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policy and procedures and clinical service notes attends mandatory training programs to maintain compliance with the latest clinic initiatives and directives.

Acts as the department representative for the ACLS Committee, attending all meetings, thus disseminating information the Clinical Services Coordinator, Director and Care Team members as required.

Assists with special projects and initiatives as directed by the Clinical Services Coordinator or Director

Work Environment & Physical Demands
Must be able to be on feet most of the day in a fast paced busy environment. 

Medium work. Minimal down time - See 80-100 patients per day - Very active, moderate amount of walking. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Requirements

 Required Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing required. Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred. Maintains an active Florida RN license. Maintain curent certifications in BLS, PALS and ACLS. Requires 2 years Critical Care or Emergency Department experience, although Medical Surgical experience may be considered.
