About the Role
Work Schedule: 100% FTE, Day Shift role. Mon - Fri during orientation. Flexible after orientation: 4/10-hour days; 4/9-hour days and 1/4-hour day; 5/8-hours days. You will work at 1340 Charles St. Clinic in Rockford.
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT) to:
- Perform a variety of patient care duties including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, EKG’s, medication reconciliation, specimen collections. Under the authority and delegation of a physician may perform certain other tasks or duties. Alerts provider/nurse of emergent patient needs.
- Prepare patients for examination, treatment and procedures.
- Provide quality care in a compassionate environment where teamwork is highly valued, and exceptionalism and innovation are encouraged.
Additional components of compensation may include:
- Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
- Laboratory and phlebotomy training required within 30 days of hire. Required
- Drug and alcohol screening, and N95 training required within 30 days of hire. Required
Work Experience
- At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
- Computer experience. Required
Licenses & Certifications
- RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
- Bi-Annual CPR certification. Required
- Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
- Audiometry certification through Northern Illinois University or Health Conservation, Inc. (HCI), required within 30 days of hire. Required
