You'll integrate IoT and time-series data, develop secure, performant APIs, and deliver advanced Digital Twins and spatiotemporal (4D) solutions that tie directly to measurable business outcomes. This role blends hands-on engineering with solution prototyping, AI/ML integration, and polished demos for executives and technical stakeholders.</p> <p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver end-to-end POCs/POVs integrating IoT, APIs, AI/ML, and 3D/4D visualizations.</li> <li>Build streaming and batch ETL pipelines using Python and orchestration tools.</li> <li>Ingest and normalize sensor data from edge devices to cloud platforms.</li> <li>Design schemas and optimize queries for time-series databases.</li> <li>Develop secure, observable REST/gRPC APIs with robust backend practices.</li> <li>Integrate OpenUSD/USD assets and real-time engines (Omniverse, Unreal) for Digital Twin experiences.</li> <li>Implement event-driven and streaming architectures for real-time processing.</li> <li>Embed AI/ML models for anomaly detection, forecasting, and geospatial inference.</li> <li>Ensure interoperability with legacy OT systems and cross-language integrations.</li> <li>Ship containerized services with CI/CD, observability, and documentation for smooth handoffs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Expert-level Python for data processing, ETL, and AI/ML integration.</li> <li>Advanced C++ for performance-critical components and Unreal Engine plugins.</li> <li>Advanced JavaScript/TypeScript for backend services and dashboards.</li> <li>Intermediate C# for Omniverse Kit and .NET integrations.</li> <li>Proven experience with REST/gRPC APIs, IoT protocols, and time-series platforms.</li> <li>Hands-on with OpenUSD/USD workflows, NVIDIA Omniverse, and Unreal Engine.</li> <li>Strong systems thinking, problem decomposition, and customer-centric communication.</li> <li>5-8 years in software development with architectural ownership.</li> <li>2-3 years leading POCs/POVs that transitioned to production.</li> <li>BS in CS/SE or related field (advanced degree a plus).</li> </ul> <p><strong>DESIRABLE CRITERIA:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Cloud:</strong> AWS/Azure/GCP (data lakes, streaming, serverless, IAM).</li> <li><strong>Geospatial:</strong> PostGIS/BigQuery GIS, Cesium ION /OGC concepts.</li> <li><strong>Edge &amp; robotics:</strong> NVIDIA Jetson, serial/USB/industrial buses; basic ROS a plus.</li> <li><strong>Data viz &amp; frontend:</strong> Grafana React</li> <li><strong>Security &amp; compliance:</strong> Secrets management, least privilege, audit logging.</li> </ul> <p><strong>PRIMARY TECH STACK:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Languages</strong>: Python, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#</li> <li><strong>APIs/Backends</strong>: FastAPI, Flask, Node.js (Express/Fastify), gRPC</li> <li><strong>Data/Streaming</strong>: Pandas, SQLAlchemy, Airflow/Prefect, Kafka/Kinesis/Pub/Sub</li> <li><strong>Time-Series</strong>: TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, QuestDB</li> <li><strong>IoT</strong>: MQTT/RabbitMQ, RPi.GPIO</li> <li><strong>3D/DT</strong>: OpenUSD/USD, NVIDIA Omniverse, Unreal Engine</li> <li><strong>Infra</strong>: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, observability toolchain</li> </ul> <p><strong>Location Requirement: </strong>Although this is a remote position, candidates must be physically located in <strong>Melbourne, Australia</strong>, have legal authorization to work there, or be willing to relocate.</p> <p><em> EOS is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
