About the Role

Estates Management Office 
Works Supervisor I/II (Builder Works) (carrying the job title of ‘Maintenance Officer’) 

The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in inspection and repair works of the Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme; (b) checking the condition of campus buildings regularly and compiling inspection reports; (c) managing and supervising project works; and (d) performing other technical duties as assigned. Working overtime, on shifts, and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays may be required when necessary.

Applicants should have (i) a Diploma or Higher Certificate, preferably in Building Surveying/Studies, from a recognised university or technical institute; OR at least 5 years’ relevant site supervising experience, with Grade C/Level 3 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE/HKDSE (including English and Mathematics); (ii) at least 3 years’ supervisory experience in builder works and inspection subsequent to fulfilling (i) above; and (iii) knowledge of facilities management software or similar applications. Possession of a valid driving licence (Class 1 and 2) will be advantageous. Applicants who do not fulfil (ii) on the above but have at least 1 year’s relevant post-qualification work experience may be considered for appointment as Works Supervisor II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. 

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
